MUN 2023

Dear Delegates and Executive board members;

 

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the first edition of NeevMUN. To begin with, we would like to express our gratitude for your participation in this conference.

 

Over the two days, we hope to allow you to experience the complexities of international diplomacy and debate. You will have the chance to develop innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing and pertinent issues, and we hope that this opportunity will allow you to better appreciate the nuances of global issues.

 

At Neev, we strive to be inclusive, and we will extend the same effort at this conference. For this reason, NeevMUN is open to new and experienced delegates alike and has been designed to give everyone an enriching and stimulating experience.

 

The theme for this conference is- “Simulating the UN, Emulating the change”. The idea behind this theme is the understanding that a MUN conference can only be successful when the changes proposed and skills acquired in the conference are taken beyond the conference itself. At the end of the day, the goal of every delegate at the conference should be to use the skills they have attained, to truly participate in changing our world for the better. 

 

A unique aspect of this conference is a special committee with two variations to observe whether the system of the UN is as effective as we have always considered it to be. We are doing this through a SpecPol committee with a standard voting procedure and a complementary committee that has the same agenda but a voting procedure that gives voting power to countries based on their population. 

 

After the conference, we hope for you to leave with more knowledge about International law, a greater interest in global affairs, a better understanding of the world’s geopolitical situation, and most importantly- strong, long-lasting, and beneficial friendships with the people you meet.

 

On a final note, we look forward to meeting every one of you on the 9th and 10th of September 2023, and we would like to wish you all the very best for the very first edition of NeevMUN!
